We are delighted to announce the purchase of USP Structural Connectors from Gibraltar Industries, Inc. and their addition to the MiTek family.

As most of you know, USP’s structural connector products are sold throughout North America and are used in the new construction, remodeling, and DIY segments. Through its multiple sales channels, including professional distribution, national building material supply companies and home centers, USP is able to effectively support builders, contractors and professional designers.

In view of the commercial synergies, we see this strategic acquisition as the first step of transformative growth for both MiTek and USP, as it combines the diverse product line and innovation of USP with MiTek’s continuing commitment and depth of resources. It will extend our dedication to expanding both the innovation and the reach of structural components and structural framing. Coupled with SAPPHIRE™, our industry-leading whole-house engineering software, MiTek now has the capability to supply structural framing and bracing solutions that satisfy all critical aspects of a wood-framed building, from the roof to the foundation. Given its importance to our overall business, the USP operation will report directly to Tom Manenti, MiTek President and CEO.

USP will continue to operate as a distinct business unit from its existing locations and will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of MiTek Industries, Inc.
